Soofa's Florida Presence Grows with Groveland Install

The City of Groveland recently incorporated Soofa Signs into their smart city infrastructure. Located outside of Orlando, Groveland is the second city in Florida to bring Soofa technology to their community. The Signs have been installed in important community hubs like City Hall and the popular Wilson Lake.

The project was spearheaded by the Department of Innovation and Technology. The new Soofa Signs will display local news, events, tweets, and polls on the EInk, digital screens. The department will use the polling feature to gather community input and feedback.

The Soofa Signs will gather anonymous pedestrian data that the City will monitor to better understand the use of public spaces and track attendance for events like the local Farmer's Market.

Groveland has grown rapidly in recent years, with a 189% increase in population growth from 2000 to 2010, making them the fastest growing city in Florida at that time. With a growing population comes a growing need for new and innovative ways to connect local government and the people they serve. Soofa is proud to work with communities like Groveland to do just that.
