Sign Maintenance
+ How often are the signs maintained & cleaned?
Soofa uses professional cleaners to keep the screen, sign frame and vinyl sparkling. Frequency depends on location and contract; it is typically biweekly.
+ How do you hire/source your local contractors?
We hire local contractors to maintain Soofa Signs through referrals, nationwide contracting companies, and professional job boards.

+ Where are Soofa Signs made?
Our sign frames are made in the United States.
Sign Installation
+ How are Soofa Signs installed?
It only takes four bolts and 30 minutes. We drill 3.5” holes for the anchor bolts into concrete, often into sidewalks in the city ROW. We then fill the hole with epoxy to hold the anchors in place.

+ Can Soofa signs be moved after they are installed?
Yes! If a sign needs to be moved for construction or other purposes, it is a straightforward process to remove and reinstall the sign.
+ What happens to the sidewalk after a sign is removed?
The anchoring bolts are flush to the concrete, leaving a flat surface. There should be no damage to the concrete.
+ How long does it take to get Soofa Signs installed?
Soofa typically installs signs in 6-7 weeks after the initial contract with a landowner is signed.

+ How much solar power does the sign need on a daily basis to function efficiently?
The signs can operate to full potential with 5-6 hours of direct sunlight a day.
+ How many years is the sign expected to last? What is the lifetime of the hardware?
5+ years, with minimal repairs taking us to 15+ years
+ What temperature range can the signs withstand?
Our signs can fully operate from -30 to 100 degrees Farenheit.
+ What MPH winds are the signs rated for?
180 mph
+ Do your signs run 24/7?
When properly sited, signs will run 23hrs a day.
Sign Display
+ Is the digital screen in color or black and white?
The e-ink digital screen is black and white. Our partner is currently developing a screen with red.
+ Is there video capability on the signs?
Not at this time.
+ How do I connect my applets with the sign?
We run an array of applets—primarily local transit times, social media feeds, RSS newsfeeds and local events feeds. At launch, you will have the opportunity to select your applets and what sources they pull from.
+ Can Soofa create a new applet for my Soofa Signs?
Yes, we can work with you to create additional custom applets to show the content you care about.
+ Can I change the applets on my screen?
Post-launch, your customer success manager can help you update the applets on your Soofa Signs or change the sources your applets pull content from.
