Soofa's 2022 Summary

In 2022, Soofa went through big and small changes. From new additions to our team, exciting partnerships, city expansions, and in-person events, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished as a startup in the past year.

We spent a lot of time in 2022 thinking about how Soofa fits into the OOH advertising space, and what impact other OOH platforms have on the environment. We even hosted a webinar to present our research to our network. Traditional digital advertising platforms contribute large amounts of carbon into the atmosphere, and industry research shows that many Americans think it’s up to brands and ad platforms to find more sustainable solutions.

 Looking Back at Soofa’s 2022

Soofa is the only sustainable ad platform in the local advertising industry, and we’re looking forward to expanding even further in 2023 to help cities and advertisers be more smart, social, and sustainable.

New Neighborhoods

In 2022, we had the pleasure of increasing our location network to 52 cities across the U.S, bringing our total number of signs to 187.

We also loved seeing the creative ways cities used their Soofa Signs. Some used theirs for community engagement like posting polls or local job listings, while others used Soofa Signs to help communicate urgent information during the devastating Hurricane Ian. Additionally, some cities actively included Soofa Signs in their community programs, like Miami’s Walk4Life Club

Our city growth team also attended the MOVE conference in Austin, Texas in 2022 which provided us the opportunity to connect with more city partners, transit representatives, and municipalities in person.

Exciting Media Partners

In 2022 we also worked with some amazing brands who were looking to reduce their carbon footprint with solar powered signs. Some of our favorites include Harpoon Brewery, Bond Vet, Red Bull, Wayfair, Helly Hansen, Brookline Bank, and more. Our digital out of home advertising customers are very important to us, which is why we’re thankful to have also partnered with Adkom Media Network to make more connections.

We worked with some non-profit organizations in Boston like Bridge Over Troubled Water, School the World, and Jewish Arts Collaborative in 2022 thanks to our flexible budgeting options for brands.

In 2023, we’re looking forward to building even more relationships with brands who value sustainability as much as us.

Technology Updates

Soofa Signs also got some significant upgrades! In March of 2022 we redesigned the layout of our digital e-ink screens, giving them a modern and creative look. We added new and developing widgets to our smart signs like polling, social media platforms, and an anticipated poster widget.

Soofa Signs are more simple to use, collaborative, and creative, while allowing landowners and advertisers more features for customization. Our engineering and operations team put in countless hours of work in 2022 to take suggestions from our customers and make them a reality.

From all of us here at Soofa, we thank you for joining us on our road to helping cities and advertisers be more smart, social, and sustainable. We can’t wait to see what 2023 brings, and we’re incredibly proud of all the work and accomplishments our teams have made in 2022.
