Soofa Attends 2023 Main Street Now Conference in Boston, MA

Main Street America hosted their annual conference, Main Street Now, in Boston, MA last week, and one of our City Growth Representatives, Jane Clark represented Soofa at the event in person.

Main Street America is a Professional Development Organization which connects thought leaders and government workers to take initiatives and improve their communities’ main streets. Soofa is a vendor and partner of the organization, meaning we often connect with cities looking to include more sustainable and community oriented technology.

Soofa Signs are the ultimate smart city communication platform. Our innovative solar-powered digital kiosks empower cities to provide equitable access to information across their community, from upcoming events to emergency information in a way that no other platform can.

Some of our Main Street America partners include Avondale, Arizona, and Middletown, Ohio. Clark got to meet with some of our partners at the conference and meet new potential partners as well.

The four day conference had lots to offer, including networking events, workshops, and an award ceremony for cities making positive changes to their main streets and communities. Main Street Now 2023 had around 2,000 people in attendance, which is the largest turnout they’ve ever seen. Participants came from all over the U.S and from other countries as well.

Clark described the conference as a celebration. She said, “During the award ceremony, more than 20 people went up to receive recognition for the work they did for their communities. It was a great reminder of how many people it takes to make these kinds of changes and how many people need to be on board with the decisions.”

Clark also recognized the importance of Soofa’s partnership with Main Street America. “It was important for Soofa to be there because I learned just how much people care about revitalizing their community. Some of the speakers talked about all the important memories of their community, which really stuck with me. Plus, Soofa’s goal is to connect communities and people together, so we share the same core values as many of the people there.”

“Going to the Main Street Now conference would be inspirational to many other cities and towns,” Clark said. If you need ideas or inspiration on how to make your community even better, Main Street America is an organization with so many connections.”

Overall, Soofa is excited to continue our partnership with Main Street America and the cities part of it. We’re continually inspired by the stories we hear from our city partners, and hope to continue connecting their communities through sustainable Soofa Signs.
