Soofa Partner City Groveland Receives Technology and Innovation Award

Congratulations are in order for valued Soofa customer Groveland, Florida, for winning the 2022 FLGISA Technology Achievement Award for “Innovative Use of Technology to Service the Public.” Every two years, the FLGISA (Florida Local Government Information Systems Association) presents the award to an FLGISA member city to recognize both leadership and innovation in a community. 

Soofa is proud to partner with Groveland’s Department of Innovation and Technology to provide new and innovative ways to connect local government and the people they serve.

 
 

“Innovation is vital to our community,” said Jose Lopez, Chief Innovation Officer & Director Of Technology at the City of Groveland. “Not only does being innovative align with Groveland’s strategic core values, but it intentionally connects safety services with our city in an effort to maintain a vibrant, welcoming community full of natural charm.”

Soofa Signs are the solar-powered neighborhood news feeds for smart cities like Groveland, designed to increase equity of access to local updates and news. Earlier this year, Groveland incorporated Soofa Signs into their smart city infrastructure, installing them in important community hubs like City Hall and the popular Wilson Lake.
