The Signs can be found in each of the City’s business districts: Medford Square, West Medford, Haines Square, Hillside, and South Medford.

Residents can turn to the Soofa Signs for city and neighborhood news, real-time transit arrival times, community surveys, public health guidelines, and more. Given the location of the Signs, important local business updates will be displayed, including operational changes during the pandemic and business deals or specials.

Communications Director Jackie Piques noted, “The Signs are an excellent way for the City to provide Medford residents with information about city resources they can use during COVID-19. Soofa’s flexible messaging is incredibly helpful as COVID-19-related information can change on an hourly basis. We’re looking forward to a successful partnership with Soofa.”

City communications will be posted in multiple languages to ensure they are readable and accessible to all.

"We are excited to enhance Medford’s smart city infrastructure with the Soofa Signs,” said Mayor Lungo-Koehn. “The Signs will both extend the City’s communication reach and enable Medford residents to contribute to the community dialogue. The Soofa Signs are a great tool to keep the Medford community connected while we are socially distanced.”
