Introducing our Enhanced and Expanded Platform, Coming to a Soofa Sign Near You

As we’ve expanded throughout the United States (tripling our reach in 2021!), we’ve seen how different the needs for communities can be and how quickly those needs can change.

This was even more apparent as cities struggled to share vital information during the pandemic. The need for real-time city communication, news, and updates is greater than ever.

We’re continuing to enhance our platform to meet the evolving needs of our city partners to inform and enrich their communities now and in the future.

We’ve enhanced our solar-powered platform to make it more user-friendly for city leaders and engaging for the community members that they serve. Cities with Soofa Signs can now share even more information with their constituents—automatically and in real time—on refreshed, modern EInk screens.

Automatically share vital city information from your existing feeds

Sick of manually sharing important information on multiple platforms?  Expand the reach of your existing feeds by automatically displaying city information—like events and news—from your RSS feeds on Soofa Signs.

"The responsive team at Soofa is constantly working to improve their already great, user-friendly design. Soofa makes up to the minute communication with residents in a clear and simple manner a breeze," said Casey Erlenheim of the San Pablo City Manager’s Office.

Keep public transit riders happy with real-time transit updates

Riders that depend on public transit rely on accurate, up-to-the minute transit information, which static timetables cannot always provide. Sharing real-time transit updates is critical to a streamlined, effective transit system. Soofa Signs pull real-time transit times automatically from your GTFS feed to keep riders informed and happy. No more wondering where the bus is!

High Valley Transit in Summit County, Utah, uses Soofa Signs to provide real-time transit information in transit hubs throughout their community. By leveraging our GTFS integration, they are providing a reliable source of transit information to residents and visitors.

County Manager Tom Fisher said, ‘We are thrilled to be partnering with Soofa to strengthen our wayfinding and communications efforts with residents and visitors. Whether it's connecting transit users with High Valley Transit's service map or a list of nearby trailheads, we're committed to helping people reach all that Summit County has to offer."

Share more hyperlocal information on Soofa Signs

As always, city partners can customize the widgets on their Soofa Signs to display the information that is relevant for their community. Cities can select from widgets that display local updates, news, events, social media feeds, real-time transit, and now local weather displays. The new weather widget will display up to five days of the local weather forecast.

The screen design has been fully refreshed for a clean, modern look.

The design was enhanced for maximum readability with a larger font, making local content like news and events even easier to read on our EInk screens.

80% of people live under a light-polluted sky, and this is worsened by most digital signage and kiosks. In keeping with our mission around sustainability, Soofa Signs are built with EInk Screens—the only digital display that is certified by the Dark Sky Association—a recognized authority on light pollution.
