Soofa Digital Kiosk Display Signs Provide Transit Information in Detroit

Detroit is a historic city with new industries, companies, and startups flocking to the area. Though spacious, the 143 square mile city has struggled with transportation and accessibility challenges for its residents, but they are working actively to improve these issues for their pedestrians!

The organization piloting this initiative of increased mobility is the Accessible Streets Studio, a collaboration between Ford’s Michigan Central and Newlab. The Studio was a driving force in bringing Soofa and six other startups to Detroit to increase mobility in the area.

Soofa Signs will allow local organizations to communicate with pedestrians, and will provide reliable, updated transit information to each of the many who pass by. Detroit is moving towards its goals of creating a more mobile and accessible city, and has incorporated Soofa into its plans for achieving them!
